My name is Sean Gordon, and I am a sophomore at Randolph-Macon College. I am a Political Science Major and a Philosophy Minor. On campus I am involved with the Franklin Debate Society and I am the Lead Coordinator at the RMC chapter of Amnesty International. I have been doing Model United Nations since I was a sophomore at Langley High School. While at Langley I served as the Operations Counselor for the team and enjoyed traveling to over a dozen conferences with our team. I was around for the original VIMUNC way back in the day. This VIMUNC will mark my third time chairing a committee at the greatest high school conference in Virginia! I am so happy to be back and chairing this crisis committee and I am excited to meet you all!
My name is Matthew Owens and welcome to- in my opinion at least- VIMUNC's finest: United Nations Security Council 1994! I am a current freshman at George Mason University who's majoring in Mathematics, but I am also really passionate about history, economics, and international relations. Outside of MUN, I have been involved in numerous clubs such as College Republicans, a think tank called Roosevelt@Mason, and even once led as the President of Langley High School's Chess Club. Otherwise, I could be seen hanging out with friends and floormates, playing the newest game in the Total War franchise, or even just watching random videos on history. I wish all of you ladies and gentlemen the best of luck before and during committee as you prepare for whatever crisis updates I may hide behind every crack and crevice. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want to say hi, feel free to email me or contact me via Facebook.

Sup my friends!
My name is Thomas Liu and very excited to serve as one of your co-chair for the UNSC 1994, the flagship committee for VIMUNC IV this spring! I’m a junior at Langley, and I’ve been involved with the Langley MUN team since my freshman year. I attended VIMUNC I (The OG VIMUNC) as a delegate, then served as a crisis staff for the Chicago Gangland my freshman year. Last year, I co-chaired the Falklands Island crisis committee. By the way, I am also one of the Logistic Coordinators for VIMUNC IV this year. Through Langley MUN, I’ve met lots great friends and most of all I’ve enjoyed the unique experience of going to college conferences. Apart from MUN, I am a coxswain for Langley’s crew team, involved in multiple honor societies and I’m also one of Langley’s representatives in the FCPS Student Advisory Council.
In committee, I’ll be looking for well-researched delegates who balances between public and private directives. As always, be diplomatic in committee! If you have any question about the committee, or just wanna chat with me for some reason, please feel free to add me on Facebook or contact me through email.
I look forward to meeting all of you this March!

Hey Everyone! I want to start by saying I'm very excited to be Co-Chairing all of you at VIMUNC this year! I'm currently a sophomore at Langley as of now and it's my fourth year doing MUN. This is also my second year Co-Chairing UNSC, meaning that if you have any questions regarding procedure, the topics, or country powers feel free to reach out. Model UN is by far the best decision I've ever made and has led to countless friendships and unforgettable memories for me as both a delegate and a person. To tell you a bit about myself, I am typically an excited, upbeat, and level-headed guy. I love to play soccer and hang out with friends and am the president of my class' student council. Meeting and getting to know people is just a part of me and I really hope I can get to know all of you in March!
This committee is by far one of the most difficult committees within all of Model United Nations due to the intricate procedure and powers involved; it will require extensive research on both your country and power with the council. The UN Security Council deals with the most pressing issues of our time and has the power to affect real change in the world. This committee will give you the opportunity to showcase your creativity and ability to think strategically about complex problems facing the global community. I look forward to what I hope is a collaborative learning experience that comes from an intellectual commitment to engaging with the content of the committee and a competitive spirit that drives debate forward.
Side note: Feel free to get in touch with me over Facebook or at my email, firstname.lastname@example.org. I'd love to get to know you even before the conference begins. Don't be shy!
