Chair: Nate Buchanan
Hello everyone and welcome to VIMUNC V!
My name is Nate Buchanan and I will be your chair for the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP). This is my senior year at Langley and my final year doing Model United Nations, a club I have participated in since middle school. I have gone to numerous high school and college conferences; I attended VIMUNC I as a delegate and VIMUNCS II, III and IV as a co-chair. This year, I look forward to chairing at my fifth and final VIMUNC, and I expect it will be the best one yet.
When I am not crushing it in MUN, you can find me swimming for Machine Aquatics and Langley, playing the piano, or passed out over my Gov textbook. In the fall, I will be attending Haverford College, ideally majoring in Latin American Studies, but we’ll see what happens. I also am an active member in the Eco School Leadership Initiative (ESLI), which teaches elementary school kids about environmental issues. I am incredibly excited for this committee and looking forward to a riveting debate as the environment is an issue very near and dear to me. If you have any questions about the committee, environmental activism, or life in general, feel free to email me at email@example.com. See you in committee!
Co-Chair: Quinn Brown
My name is Quinn Brown, and it is my honor to be co-chairing UNEP at VIMUNC this year. I am a 14-year-old freshman at Langley High School, and I have been to five Model UN conferences. VIMUNC will be my first time co-chair. I went to Cooper Middle School, where I briefly was introduced to Model UN. You will often find me listening to or making music, playing video games, or devouring meat lovers pizzas. I look forward to co-chairing my first Model UN conference with all of you wonderful delegates! You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
